The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program ensures all youth have the same opportunities in sport. Their vision is simple: Canada, where all kids have a chance to fulfill their dreams.
We were happy to join Jumpstart at a selection of their Jumpstart Games where we introduced students to the sport of curling using our Rocks & Rings programming. The Jumpstart Games allowed thousands of youth across Canada to try new things and have experiences they may not have if it were not for the program. Every Jumpstart day was special and filled with great memories.
Enjoy some of our favourite moments with us!
Launch Day
To kick off the program we had Rocks & Rings instructors in Montreal, Toronto and Calgary ready to share curling with thousands of enthusiastic students. Special guests included Leaf legend Wendel Clark, Olympian Curt Harnett and Montreal Canadiens’ mascot Yuoppi!
Olympians in Peterborough
Olympians Larisa Yurkiw and Brittany McLean joined Rocks & Rings in Peterborough for the Girls in Sport edition of the Jumpstart Games where hundreds of girls were empowered through sport.
Wheelchair Curling with Paralympian Mark Ideson
Mark Ideson is a two time Paralympian passionate about curling and getting others involved with the sport! At the Jumpstart Games in Collingwood, Ontario Mark shared the sport with hundreds of students. Students were able try the accessible version of Rocks & Rings using specially designed pusher sticks.
