Lisa Weagle is a World Champion and Olympian who began playing curling at age eight. She believes in the power of sport, and the importance of getting kids active at a young age and keeping them active throughout their lives.
While walking her dog the other day, Lisa’s six-year-old neighbour Charlie ran out of his house to tell her all about his Rocks & Rings experience he had at school. When one of our Ottawa area instructors, Tom, asked if the kids knew of any curlers, Charlie told his class that he lives on the same street as Lisa Weagle.
After telling Lisa about the fun he had and the shots he made, he ran back inside to grab his Egg Farmers Rocks & Rings presented by Curling Canada graduation certificate. Charlie was proud to show it to her and share his first curling experience!
Lisa Weagle is joining Team Jennifer Jones as they work towards qualifying for the 2021 Roar of the Rings and representing Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Egg Farmers Rocks & Rings presented by Curling Canada is proud to introduce Canadian students to the sport of curling while high-performance athletes keep them dreaming big.
