The 2018/19 school year was one to remember! Egg Farmers Rocks & Rings presented by Curling Canada inspired students across Canada to get active while learning about curling. We celebrated momentous occasions and enjoyed curling with new fans and seasoned champions.
This year was our second biggest ever! When the final school bell rang for 2018/19, 222,547 students experienced the program as part of 1,442 days of Rocks & Rings.

January 22nd, 2019 marked an impressive milestone — 10 years of Rocks & Rings! To celebrate our 10th birthday we hosted 10 exciting surprises and events across Canada. The celebrations featured elite athletes, partners, and special giveaways.
We launched Rocks & Rings Tournaments across Canada to bring more curling opportunities to Canadian schools. The tournaments program brings four mini curling sheets and custom score-
boards to school gyms, allowing students to learn curling terminology, scoring, and more while competing with and against each other.
Special Egg Farmers events in Saskatchewan and Alberta brought the nutrition of eggs and the fun of Rocks & Rings to students.
Sask Egg Producers brought Egg Farmers Rocks & Rings presented by Curling Canada to two very deserving schools in Regina & Saskatoon, also providing the students with lunches.
Egg Farmers of Alberta brought a food truck to a lucky school in Calgary to kick off their Rocks & Rings Tournament Day with an egg powered breakfast. Students loved their delicious egg breakfasts and enjoyed a friendly curling competition with classmates.
Egg Farmers of Ontario gave away a Rocks & Rings Tournament to one lucky follower. As part of the tournament, students received a delicious egg-based meal to power their physical education.
We partnered with ParticipACTION to empower more students to get active as part of the Community Better Challenge. In partnership with ParticipACTION, Rocks & Rings created more physical activity opportunities for students across Canada through:
Big name athletes supported Rocks & Rings to share their love of curling with today’s youth. Along with current stars like John Epping, Reid Carruthers, and members of Team Fleury, 1993 World Champion Peter Corner visited Balaclava School in Ontario to bring curling to students. Future stars Team Deschenes also joined Rocks & Rings in the school gym to share their passion for the sport, inspired by a school project.
